Torsion bar for backrest adjustment
The customer wanted a new backrest adjustment mechanism to reduce weight and cost. Working together with the customer we designed a new torsion bar adjustment mechanism to replace the old coil spring. Following extensive development and testing, the new part went into production. Our new solution led to major savings in cost (-35%) and component weight (-30%).
