Significant Progress in Mevis’ Decarbonization and Sustainability Plan

As part of its ongoing commitment to environmental sustainability, Mevis has launched a major initiative to install photovoltaic systems across its production facilities. In 2024, a new 1,123 kWp solar power plant was successfully installed at the Rosà (Italy) manufacturing site, while the installation of an additional photovoltaic system is currently underway at the Šamorín (Slovakia) plant.

These new installations, combined with the systems already in place, will bring the Group’s total installed capacity to approximately 3,300 kWp, enabling a significant reduction in CO₂ emissions — estimated at nearly 1,000 tons per year.

This investment, which reflects Mevis' increasingly green and responsible approach, represents a tangible step towards greater sustainability. It will also support the achievement of the Group’s corporate objective of covering at least 13% of its electricity needs through self-generated renewable energy by 2025.

Together with other initiatives implemented over recent years, this project has contributed to a reduction in Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions and has allowed the Group to meet the 2024 target of its Sustainability and Decarbonization Plan. Specifically, the CO₂ emissions intensity KPI has decreased from 55.5 tCO₂/MEUR of revenue in 2019 to 26 in 2024, marking a reduction of over 50%.
